Areas affected...south central and southeast Kansas...much of
northern Oklahoma

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 357...

Valid 150433Z - 150630Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 357
continues.

SUMMARY...Storms capable of locally damaging winds will continue to
affect all of south central Kansas, and will spread into northern
Oklahoma later tonight. An additional watch may be needed east of WW
357.

DISCUSSION...Storms have congealed into a linear MCS, extending from
south central KS toward the OK border. VWPs indicate a strong
low-level jet which will maintain good storm relative inflow into
this system. Capping does exist, but the MCS has produced a
sufficiently deep cold pool to maintain development.

Damaging winds are most likely across south central KS into northern
OK, but veering deep-layer shear vectors suggest that storms could
eventually approach I-40 in OK late tonight if CIN proves to be
surmountable.
