TALLAHASSEE, FL (910 AM CDT SUN MAY 12 2019) — The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Geneva County in southeastern Alabama Walton County in the Panhandle of Florida Western Holmes County in the Panhandle of Florida until 1000 AM CDT. At 909 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Laurel Hill to near Crestview to near Pensacola Beach, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include De Funiak Springs, Geneva, Santa Rosa Beach, Hartford, Samson, Eglin Air Force Base, Union, Liberty, Paxton, Ponce De Leon, Westville, Coffee Springs, Black, Oakwood Hills, Cluster Springs, Kellys Crossroads, Villa Tasso, Cerrogordo, Gritney and Logan Field Municipal A/P. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
