Thunderstorm Warning for Stewart County GA

PEACHTREE CITY, GA (639 PM EDT Thu May 9 2019) — The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Stewart County in west central Georgia until 715 PM EDT. At 639 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Twin Springs, or 10 miles north of Georgetown, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Lumpkin, Omaha, Charles, Sanford, Westville and Providence Canyon State Park. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
