Thunderstorm Warning for Lowndes County AL

BIRMINGHAM, AL (250 PM CDT Thu May 9 2019) — The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northern Lowndes County in south central Alabama until 330 PM CDT. At 250 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over White Hall, or near Mosses, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Mosses, Hayneville, White Hall, Gordonville, Lowndesboro, Benton and Manack. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
