Thunderstorm Warning for Chattahoochee County GA and 1 More

PEACHTREE CITY, GA (635 PM EDT Thu May 9 2019) — The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Chattahoochee County in west central Georgia Northern Stewart County in west central Georgia until 700 PM EDT. At 634 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Fort Mitchell Activity Center, or 12 miles west of Cusseta, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Cusseta, Fort Benning/lawson Army Air Fld, Christopher, Jamestown/south Fort Benning, Brooklyn, Renfroe, Louvale and Manta. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
