Tornado Warning for Catahoula Parish, LA and 2 More

JACKSON, MS (336 AM CDT THU APR 25 2019) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Tornado Warning for Northwestern Tensas Parish in northeastern Louisiana Northwestern Catahoula Parish in northeastern Louisiana Franklin Parish in northeastern Louisiana until 415 AM CDT. At 336 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Enterprise, or 17 miles southeast of Columbia, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD: Tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near Jigger around 350 AM CDT. Wisner around 355 AM CDT. Newlight around 410 AM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Gilbert. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
