Thunderstorm Warning for Coke County TX and 2 More

SAN ANGELO, TX (951 PM CDT Tue Apr 23 2019) — The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Coke County in west central Texas Northeastern Sterling County in west central Texas Southwestern Nolan County in west central Texas until 1030 PM CDT. At 950 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles southwest of Silver, or 13 miles northeast of Sterling City, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will be near Silver around 1005 PM CDT. E. V. Spence Reservoir Near Paint Creek Recreation Area around 1015 PM CDT. Robert Lee and Sanco around 1020 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include The Intersection Of Highway 208 And Ranch Road 2662 and The Intersection Of Highway 158 And Ranch Road 2059. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
