SAN ANGELO, TX (845 PM CDT Tue Apr 23 2019) — The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southeastern Callahan County in west central Texas Northern Brown County in west central Texas Northeastern Coleman County in west central Texas until 930 PM CDT. At 844 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Rowden, or 19 miles south of Baird, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will be near Cross Plains around 855 PM CDT. Atwell and Cross Cut around 900 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Echo, Admiral and I-20 Near The Callahan-Eastland County Line. This includes Interstate 20 near Mile Marker 323. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
