Thunderstorm Warning for Jackson County IA and 2 More

QUAD CITIES IA, QUAD CITIES IA/IL (509 PM CDT Mon Apr 22 2019) — The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Jo Daviess County in northwestern Illinois Northwestern Jackson County in east central Iowa Southeastern Dubuque County in northeastern Iowa until 615 PM CDT. At 508 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Bernard to near Hurstville, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Galena, Bellevue, Stockton, Warren, Hanover, Elizabeth, Woodbine, Andrew, Scales Mound, Apple River, La Motte, Council Hill, St. Donatus, Nora, Bernard, Zwingle, Fulton, Schapville, Guilford and Rice. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
