Tornado Warning for Northumberland County VA and 2 More

WAKEFIELD, VA (837 PM EDT FRI APR 19 2019) — The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a Tornado Warning for East central Middlesex County in eastern Virginia Southeastern Northumberland County in eastern Virginia Eastern Lancaster County in eastern Virginia until 900 PM EDT. At 836 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over White Stone, or near Kilmarnock, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD: Tornado. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near Kilmarnock around 840 PM EDT. Wicomico Church around 850 PM EDT. Fair Port around 855 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Byrdton, Weems, Senora, Slabtown, Brook Vale, Bertrand, Reedville, Lilian, Millenbeck and Foxwells. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
