Tornado Warning for Marlboro County SC

WILMINGTON, NC (333 PM EDT Fri Apr 19 2019) — The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Tornado Warning for Northeastern Marlboro County in northeastern South Carolina until 400 PM EDT. At 333 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Dunbar, or near Bennettsville, moving north at 45 mph. HAZARD: Tornado. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. Expect damage to mobile homes, roofs, and vehicles. This dangerous storm will be near Bennettsville and Mccoll around 345 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Tatum and Blenheim. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
