PEACHTREE CITY, GA (1056 AM EDT Fri Apr 19 2019) — The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Tornado Warning for Northeastern Laurens County in central Georgia South central Johnson County in east central Georgia until 1130 AM EDT. At 1056 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Minter, or 8 miles southeast of Dublin, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD: Tornado. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include East Dublin, Lovett, Spann, Brewton, Lowery, Scott and Minter. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows.
