Tornado Warning for Fluvanna County VA and 2 More

WAKEFIELD, VA (638 PM EDT FRI APR 19 2019) — The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a Tornado Warning for Northeastern Cumberland County in central Virginia Northwestern Goochland County in central Virginia Southeastern Fluvanna County in central Virginia until 715 PM EDT. At 637 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Lakeside Village, or near Cumberland, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD: Tornado. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near Lakeside Village around 645 PM EDT. Columbia and Duncan around 650 PM EDT. Fife around 655 PM EDT. Hadensville and Kents Store around 705 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Elk Hill, Stage Junction, Georges Tavern, Tabscott, Trenton Mills, Caledonia and Trents Mill. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
