PEACHTREE CITY, GA (1119 AM EDT Fri Apr 19 2019) — The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Tornado Warning for Northwestern Emanuel County in east central Georgia Eastern Johnson County in east central Georgia until noon EDT. At 1118 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Adrian, or 11 miles north of Soperton, moving north at 55 mph. HAZARD: Tornado. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include Adrian, Kite, New Home and Meeks. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows.
