COLUMBIA, SC (1237 PM EDT Fri Apr 19 2019) — The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a Tornado Warning for Northeastern Columbia County in east central Georgia Edgefield County in central South Carolina Southwestern Saluda County in central South Carolina Southeastern McCormick County in central South Carolina until 100 PM EDT. At 1237 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Evans, moving northeast at 65 mph. HAZARD: Tornado. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near J. Strom Thurmond Dam and Clarks Hill Recreation Area around 1240 PM EDT. Edgefield around 1255 PM EDT.
