Thunderstorm Warning for Huntingdon County PA

STATE COLLEGE, PA (712 PM EDT FRI APR 19 2019) — The National Weather Service in State College PA has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southeastern Huntingdon County in central Pennsylvania until 815 PM EDT. At 712 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Fort Littleton, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Mount Union, Rockhill Furnace, Three Springs, Mapleton, Orbisonia, Saltillo, Kistler, Shirleysburg and Shade Gap. This includes The Pennsylvania Turnpike from mile markers 185 to 186. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. This thunderstorm is capable of producing all types of severe weather including extremely large hail, destructive straight line winds and tornadoes. Move quickly to a safe shelter such as an interior room, a bathroom, closet or basement. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
