Thunderstorm Warning for Franklin County PA and 1 More

STATE COLLEGE, PA (834 PM EDT FRI APR 19 2019) — The National Weather Service in State College PA has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for East central Franklin County in south central Pennsylvania Cumberland County in south central Pennsylvania until 915 PM EDT. At 833 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Scotland, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD: 70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. This severe thunderstorm will be near Walnut Bottom and Pine Grove Furnace around 850 PM EDT. Newville around 900 PM EDT. Carlisle, Plainfield, Bloserville, Schlusser and Mount Holly Springs around 910 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Penn State Dickinson School Of Law and Shippensburg University. This includes the following Interstates The Pennsylvania Turnpike from mile markers 209 to 231. Interstate 81 from mile markers 18 to 54. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
