Thunderstorm Warning for Jefferson County AL and 1 More

BIRMINGHAM, AL (658 PM CDT THU APR 18 2019) — The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Walker County in central Alabama Northwestern Jefferson County in central Alabama until 830 PM CDT. At 658 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Winfield to 6 miles south of Bankston, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD: 70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include Jasper, Sumiton, Cordova, Dora, Carbon Hill, Adamsville, Warrior, Kimberly, Graysville, Morris, Parrish, Oakman, Trafford, Sipsey, West Jefferson, County Line, Kansas, Nauvoo, Eldridge and Curry. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
