Thunderstorm Warning for Jasper County MS and 1 More

JACKSON, MS (325 PM CDT THU APR 18 2019) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Jasper County in east central Mississippi Newton County in east central Mississippi until 445 PM CDT. At 325 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Morton to near Burns to 6 miles northeast of Mount Olive, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Newton, Stringer, Prospect, Lawrence, Decatur, Bay Springs, Heidelberg, Paulding, Stratton, Moss, Rose Hill, Turnerville, Roberts, Orange, Stafford Springs, Garlandville, Duffee, Conehatta, Little Rock and Hickory. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
