Thunderstorm Warning for Wise County TX and 2 More

FORT WORTH, TX (757 PM CDT Wed Apr 17 2019) — The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Eastern Montague County in north central Texas Northern Wise County in north central Texas Western Cooke County in north central Texas until 900 PM CDT. At 755 PM CDT, a cluster of severe thunderstorms was located from east of Jacksboro to Sunset to near Ringgold, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD: Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE: Radar indicated. At 754 PM CDT storm spotters reported golf ball size hail north of Alvord. People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Gainesville, Bowie, Muenster, Alvord, St. Jo, Lindsay, Chico, Sunset and Forestburg. This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 501 and 503. Prepare immediately for large hail. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm has a history of producing large hail.
