Thunderstorm Warning for Oklahoma County OK and 5 More

NORMAN, OK (1014 PM CDT Wed Apr 17 2019) — The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northern Grady County in central Oklahoma Oklahoma County in central Oklahoma Northwestern Cleveland County in central Oklahoma Southeastern Logan County in central Oklahoma Southeastern Canadian County in central Oklahoma Northwestern McClain County in central Oklahoma until 1115 PM CDT. At 1013 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 5 miles north of Edmond to 3 miles east of Minco, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Oklahoma City, western Norman, Edmond, Moore, Midwest City, Del City, Newcastle, Yukon, Bethany, Mustang, Choctaw, Warr Acres, The Village, Tuttle, Spencer, Nichols Hills, Jones, Nicoma Park, Minco and Luther. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
