Thunderstorm Warning for Coffey County KS

TOPEKA, KS (422 PM CDT WED APR 17 2019) — The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Coffey County in east central Kansas until 515 PM CDT. At 421 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles southwest of Gridley, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Burlington, Waverly, New Strawn, Gridley, Le Roy and John Redmond Reservoir. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
