BIRMINGHAM, AL (1250 AM CDT SUN APR 14 2019) — The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Tornado Warning for Northwestern Marengo County in southwestern Alabama Southeastern Sumter County in west central Alabama until 145 AM CDT. At 1250 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Pennington, or 12 miles northeast of Butler, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD: Tornado. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include Demopolis, Jefferson, Myrtlewood, Pin Hook, Chickasaw State Park, U. S. 80 and AL 28, Old Spring Hill, Belmont, Demopolis Lock And Dam, McDowell and Demopolis Municipal Airport. TAKE COVER NOW!
