Tornado Warning for Kershaw County SC and 2 More

COLUMBIA, SC (512 PM EDT Sun Apr 14 2019) — The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a Tornado Warning for Northwestern Lee County in central South Carolina Central Chesterfield County in central South Carolina East central Kershaw County in central South Carolina until 545 PM EDT. At 511 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Cassatt, or 13 miles northwest of Bishopville, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD: Tornado. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near Carolina Sandhills Wildlife Refuge around 530 PM EDT.
