BALTIMORE MD/WASHINGTON, DC (621 PM EDT Sun Apr 14 2019) — The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a Tornado Warning for Central Carroll County in north central Maryland Southeastern Frederick County in north central Maryland until 645 PM EDT. At 621 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Ballenger Creek, or near Harry Grove Stadium, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD: Tornado. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. For those in the direct path of a tornado touchdown, flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Damage to roofs, siding, and windows may occur. Mobile homes may be damaged or destroyed. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near Frederick around 625 PM EDT. New Market and Linganore-Bartonsville around 630 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Buckeystown, Ijamsville, Linwood, Mount Pleasant, Union Bridge, Monrovia, Park Mills, Adamstown, New Windsor and Marston.
