CLEVELAND, OH (448 PM EDT Sun Apr 14 2019) — The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Western Stark County in northeastern Ohio Southern Summit County in northeastern Ohio Eastern Wayne County in northeastern Ohio Holmes County in northeastern Ohio until 530 PM EDT. At 447 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Millersburg, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect damage to trees and power lines. Locations impacted include Akron, Canton, Millersburg, Massillon, Barberton, Green, North Canton, Orrville, Berlin, Rittman, Mogadore, Walnut Creek, Doylestown, Hartville, Brewster, Navarre, Dalton, East Sparta, Killbuck and Holmesville. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for northeastern Ohio. A Tornado Watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not immediately likely, if one is spotted, act quickly and move to a place of safety inside a sturdy structure such as a basement or small interior room.
