BIRMINGHAM, AL (634 AM CDT SUN APR 14 2019) — The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Eastern Etowah County in northeastern Alabama Cherokee County in northeastern Alabama until 715 AM CDT. At 633 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Tabor Road to near Hokes Bluff, moving northeast at 60 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Gadsden, Piedmont, Hokes Bluff, Centre, Cedar Bluff, Little River Canyon National Preserve, Forney, Centre Municipal Airport, Glencoe, Leesburg, Sand Rock, Gaylesville, Tennala, Tabor Road, Cherokee Rock Village, Pleasant Gap, Cornwall Furnace Park, Blanche, Eastern Weiss Lake and Little River Falls.
