BIRMINGHAM, AL (1138 PM CDT SAT APR 13 2019) — The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Tornado Warning for Pickens County in west central Alabama Northwestern Sumter County in west central Alabama until 1245 AM CDT. At 1138 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Electric Mills, or 21 miles northwest of Livingston, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD: Tornado. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include Aliceville, Gordo, Reform, Carrollton, Pickensville, Ethelsville, McMullen, Panola, Johnston Lake, Bevill Lock And Dam, Garden, Ashcraft Corner, Geiger, Dillburg, Shaw, George Downer Airport, Kirk, Gainesville Lake Campground, Warsaw and North Pickens Airport.
