Tornado Warning for Richland Parish, LA and 2 More

JACKSON, MS (335 PM CDT SAT APR 13 2019) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Tornado Warning for South central Morehouse Parish in northeastern Louisiana Northeastern Richland Parish in northeastern Louisiana West Carroll Parish in northeastern Louisiana until 415 PM CDT. At 335 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 7 miles north of Rayville, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD: Tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near Goodwill and Darnell around 355 PM CDT. Oak Grove around 405 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Forest, Pioneer, Oak Ridge and Epps. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
