Tornado Warning for Nacogdoches County TX and 1 More

SHREVEPORT, LA (1138 AM CDT Sat Apr 13 2019) — The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Tornado Warning for West central Nacogdoches County in eastern Texas Southeastern Cherokee County in northeastern Texas until 1230 PM CDT. At 1138 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 7 miles west of Forest, or 20 miles south of Rusk, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD: Tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near Forest around 1150 AM CDT. Morrill around 1155 AM CDT. Alto around 1200 PM CDT. Douglass around 1215 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Linwood and Lilbert. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
