Tornado Warning for Grimes County TX and 2 More

HOUSTON/GALVESTON, TX (1237 PM CDT Sat Apr 13 2019) — The National Weather Service in League City has issued a Tornado Warning for North central Grimes County in southeastern Texas Southwestern Houston County in southeastern Texas Central Madison County in southeastern Texas until 100 PM CDT. At 1237 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 10 miles northwest of Bedias, or 10 miles southwest of Madisonville, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD: Tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near Madisonville around 1255 PM CDT. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
