Tornado Warning for Clay County MS

JACKSON, MS (1026 PM CDT SAT APR 13 2019) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Tornado Warning for Southeastern Clay County in northeastern Mississippi until 1100 PM CDT. At 1026 PM CDT, a tornado producing storm was located near Starkville, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD: Damaging tornado. SOURCE: Radar confirmed tornado. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This tornadic storm will be near Tibbee around 1035 PM CDT. West Point around 1045 PM CDT. To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
