Thunderstorm Warning for Dinwiddie County VA

WAKEFIELD, VA (559 PM EDT MON APR 8 2019) — The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Dinwiddie County in south central Virginia until 630 PM EDT. At 559 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Dewitt, or 8 miles west of Dinwiddie, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind damage to trees and powerlines. This severe thunderstorm will be near, Dinwiddie around 610 PM EDT. Sutherland around 615 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Center Star, Church Road, Petersburg Airport, Five Forks, Burgess, Walkers, Hebron, Addison, Rocky Run and Ford.
