Thunderstorm Warning for Clay County MS and 2 More

JACKSON, MS (637 PM CDT SAT APR 6 2019) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Eastern Noxubee County in east central Mississippi Southeastern Clay County in northeastern Mississippi Lowndes County in northeastern Mississippi until 715 PM CDT. At 636 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Muldrow to near Brooksville to near Macon, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD: 70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Severe thunderstorms will be near Deerbrook around 640 PM CDT. Waverly, Bigbee Valley and Prairie Point around 650 PM CDT. Columbus and Columbus AFB around 655 PM CDT. Kolola Springs around 700 PM CDT. Caledonia and Steens around 705 PM CDT. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
